* Dual est un couple d'ordinateurs. Le premier ordinateur a un logiciel de reconnaissance vocale qui traduit la parole en texte. Ce texte est regardé par une caméra connectée au second ordinateur, cette image est transformée en texte qui est prononcé par une synthèse vocale. Cette voix est écoutée par le premier ordinateur, retranscrit en texte et ainsi de suite.
La traduction entre le son et le texte est imparfaite et produit des glissements progressifs de sens. À partir d'un seul message, les deux ordinateurs semblent dialoguer et s'écouter.
* Dual is a couple of computers. The first computer have a voice recognition software that translates speech into text. This text is sent to the second computer by a camera and a software speech synthesizer pronounce aloud the text. This voice is listened by the first computer, transcribed into text and so on.
The translation between sound and text is imperfect and produces gradual shift of meaning. From a single message, both computers seem to talk and listen.
